Waste out of this so far is only used as animal feed or even discarded and pollute rivers. Thanks to the creativity of students at the University of Gadjah Mada, the waste out now can be processed into jam is delicious and healthy, named A Soy.
Five students from the Student Entrepreneurship Program Kreatifivitas (PKM-K) managed to take advantage of a peanut dregs out of high nutritional value. One student said Ahmad Muhaimin Alfarisy, peanut dregs out of this development came from his experience while in high school selling soy milk. At that time he saw the waste of soy milk, soy pulp is widely used and wasted, as well as the dregs out.
"During this time, know only the dregs are used as animal feed and even thrown away, but its nutrient content is high enough," he said Wednesday (5/16/2012) at UGM.
According Alfarisy, grounds out to have high fiber content, so good for digestion. In addition, the compounds contained in soy isoflavones also good to prevent premature aging. "Butter dregs know we made a high fiber content is 8 percent higher than jams sold in the market that contain fiber only about 6 percent," said Alfarisy promotion.
Making jam is also fairly easy. First, the dregs out of fresh steamed for 1 hour in order to know the grounds can be more durable. Then, amapas is mixed with fruits that have been blended and granulated sugar, cloves and cinnamon. Furthermore all the ingredients that are mixed cooked and simmer until thickened.
"To know and fruit composition of fruit pulp is 1:2. All flavors are sold is a blend of real fruit with the pulp out so it can certainly contain a high nutrient, dense fiber, and vitamins primarily derived from fruits, combined" he said.
Currently jam named A Soy dregs know i sold in the form of toast with offers four flavors that taste the apple, guava, banana, and chocolate milk. In the near future, will be A Soy products with new flavors such as blueberry, mocha, soursop, and some sense of olainnya. In addition marketed in the form of toast, we will also release A Soy butter in a cup size of 200 grams. Per cup priced at Rp 6,500.
